Framer’s badge and scripts come off

The Made in Framer badge, the editor bar and Framer’s own tracking scripts are removed on the way out, so the exported pages carry none of them.

Every page, including the CMS ones

The unit is a site, not a URL. Published CMS entries come across as real pages with the directory structure and navigation intact.

Every page is opened and checked

Before you pay, each page is loaded in a real browser with the internet switched off, at three screen sizes. You get the findings in writing, so a bad export is something you see rather than discover.

Every asset is stored locally

Images, fonts, stylesheets, scripts, media and data are all fetched and stored in your folder, so the exported pages load from it rather than from Framer’s CDN.

Animations keep working

Scroll reveals, hover states and page transitions carry over, doing the same work from your folder that they did on Framer’s servers.

What doesn't come across?

These are limits of any static export, not of this one.

Forms
They still post to Framer. Point them at Formspree, your host's form handler or your own endpoint and they work again.
CMS content is a snapshot
Everything published at export time comes across as real pages. Anything you add afterwards won't appear until you export again, which is free.
Framer's built-in search
It asks Framer's servers for results. The search box comes across; the results don't.
Password-protected pages
Members-only content can't be reached from outside, so it can't be exported.
Very large sites
Today's ceiling is 100 pages and 1 GB per export. That is what this server carries, not a limit of the tool, and most marketing sites are nowhere near it. A big CMS blog can pass it, so send it over and we'll tell you before you pay anything.

Questions, answered.

Can you export a Framer site?

Not from inside Framer, because there is no export button. That's what this does: it reads your published site the way a browser does and rebuilds it as files.

Do I need to know any code?

No. You're moving a folder, not editing one. If you can drag a folder into Cloudflare Pages, you can do this.

Can I edit the exported code?

Honestly, not comfortably. The markup is machine-generated, built to be hosted rather than worked in. Keep designing in Framer and re-export; that's the workflow this is built for, and re-exports are free.

Will my animations still work?

Yes. Scroll animations, hover states and page transitions come across and keep running from your own folder. We check them at three screen sizes before you download.

What about my CMS?

Every item published at export time is rendered out as a real page. It's a snapshot: new entries won't appear until you export again, and that costs nothing.

Do I pay again when I update the site?

No. $15 covers that website for good, however many times you re-export it.

Is my site allowed to be exported?

It's your site and your content. Dehydrate reads the pages you've already published, the same way any browser or search engine does.

What if the check finds something broken?

You see it before you pay. Checking is free, and payment only happens at the download step, so if the report shows something you're not happy with, you close the tab and it's cost you nothing.

Is this made by Framer?

No. Dehydrate is an independent tool with no connection to Framer.
